Alexis C. Portugal, CPA
Alexis received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Eastern Illinois University and her Masters of Science in Accounting from De Paul University. She began her public accounting career in 1991 with Coopers & Lybrand after which she joined Parente, Randolph PLC. She spent 8 years in corporate accounting before starting Saunders, Portugal & Assoc., Inc in 2003.
Alexis believes in social responsibility and offers her passion, time and expertise to a number of civic and charitable organizations. She is a past president of the Rotary Club of Barrington and a current board member of the Barrington Area United Way.
Additionally, Alexis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, The Illinois Certified Public Accountants Society and the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce.
When not at work Alexis enjoys spending time with her son Jacob and her dog Bandit. She enjoys volunteering and she is a huge sports fan, rooting for the Bears, Blackhawks and the Bulls.
